COOKIE POLICY
Cookies and similar technologies.
What this website stores on your device, what each item is for, how long it lasts, and how to turn it off. This policy sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
Effective 25 August 2026
1What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage, pixels and software development kits — do comparable things. We use the word “cookies” in this policy to cover all of them.
Cookies set by this website are first-party. Cookies set by another organisation whose content appears here, such as Google, are third-party — that organisation, not us, controls them, and its own privacy policy applies.
2What we use, and why
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to work. These cannot be switched off through us, because without them the site cannot do what you have asked it to.
| Item | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Versatile Group (Supabase) | Keeps staff signed in to the internal admin panel. Not set for ordinary visitors. | Up to 7 days |
vg.attribution | Versatile Group | Session storage, not a cookie. Remembers the site that referred you and any campaign tag in the link you followed, so an enquiry can be credited to the right channel. | Until you close the tab |
Analytics
Help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. They tell us which pages are read and which channels bring people here.
| Item | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another | 2 years |
_ga_<id> | Google Analytics | Maintains the analytics session state | 2 years |
Google Analytics records a shortened form of your IP address, the pages you view, approximate location, and device and browser type. We use it to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with the contents of an enquiry.
Maps
The map on our contact page is provided by Google and sets Google’s cookies when it loads. It does not load automatically — the page shows our address and a button, and nothing is requested from Google until you choose to open the map. Directions links take you to Google Maps in a new tab without loading anything here.
Advertising and remarketing
We do not currently set advertising or remarketing cookies on this website. If we begin advertising campaigns that use them — for example Google Ads or Meta remarketing, which show our advertising to people who have visited this site — we will update this policy first, list them in the table above, and where consent is required in your jurisdiction we will ask for it before any such cookie is set.
3How to control cookies
In your browser
Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block them in future — usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking all cookies will not break this website for ordinary visitors, but it will prevent staff from signing in to the admin panel.
Opting out of Google Analytics
You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit using Google’s browser add-on. Many browsers also offer built-in tracking protection.
We also honour Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends that signal, we treat it as a refusal of everything non-essential: nothing is granted, and we do not interrupt you with the banner to ask again. You can still choose to opt in from the cookie icon if you want to.
Do Not Track
There is still no agreed standard for how websites should respond to Do Not Track browser signals, so we do not currently respond to them. We do respond to Global Privacy Control as described above.
4Consent
Nothing non-essential is set until you say so. On your first visit a banner asks what you allow; until you answer, Google Analytics runs in a mode that stores nothing on your device and sends no identifiers. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent and are set regardless.
We ask everyone, everywhere. Some countries require it and some do not, and we would rather apply one standard than decide what you are entitled to based on where you happen to be.
Withdrawing is as easy as giving. Use the button below or the link in the footer of any page. When you withdraw, we do not merely stop collecting — the analytics cookies already on your device are deleted.
We keep a record of each decision — what was chosen, how and when, with your IP address hashed rather than stored — because we have to be able to show that consent was given freely. If we materially change what these categories cover, we ask again rather than relying on an older answer.
5Changes and contact
We update this policy whenever the technologies on the site change. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
